Programs
Our programs make a meaningful impact across the 43205 zip code and throughout the city of Columbus. We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide quality programs that strengthen, uplift, and serve our community. It is our honor and privilege to walk alongside individuals and families—offering support, empowerment, and hope as we build a brighter future together.

Afterschool & Summer Enrichment
To support young learners and their families, we operate an Afterschool Program at Fairwood Elementary and an eight-week Summer Enrichment Program.
The programs blends academics with enrichment activities, ensuring students stay on track while enjoying a safe, supportive environment.
Our Summer Enrichment Program is open to families in Columbus Ohio.
Youth/Teen Programs
Our youth programs are designed to inspire and prepare the next generation. From SIMBA and SIMSA clubs to a week-long summer camp and bi-monthly sessions,
To our new youth program P.O.W.E.R. where teens explore personal development, leadership, entrepreneurship, career pathways, internships, and college readiness, including on-campus college tours.

We are called to be strong companions and clear mirrors to one another, to seek those who reflect with compassion and a keen eye how we are doing… we need the nourishing company of others to create the circle needed for growth, freedom and healing.

Housing Program
JJDC provide transitional housing for both men and women who are moving from homelessness into stability.
Our program is designed to be more than just a roof over someone’s head—it is a safe, supportive environment where individuals can begin rebuilding their lives with dignity and hope.
Leadership Program
The Community Leadership Program is a three-year transformational initiative designed to equip grassroots and faith-based leaders with the tools necessary for long-term community impact. Focused on sustainable neighborhood engagement, the program provides structured training in program development, civic participation, public speaking, grant writing, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
Participants—often individuals already working on the frontlines of underserved communities—receive mentorship, capacity-building workshops, and opportunities to collaborate on real-world projects that address local needs. Through a culturally grounded curriculum and peer support, the program cultivates leaders who are deeply rooted in the communities they serve and equipped to create lasting change.
Graduates of the program are empowered to lead community revitalization initiatives, launch nonprofit efforts, mobilize residents, and advocate for equity-driven policies. This initiative strengthens the leadership pipeline across Columbus’s Near East Side and beyond, ensuring that local voices shape local solutions.
